Marketing

Marketing is based on thinking about the business in terms of customer needs and their satisfaction. In other words, marketing has less to do with getting customers to pay for your product as it does developing a demand for that product and fulfilling the customer’s needs. It is the promotion of business products or services to a target audience. For example marketing at work can include television commercials, billboards on the side of the road, and magazine advertisements. But not all businesses approach the need to market their goods and services in the same way.

In the 1990’s many companies marketed their products through their websites and created brand awareness through the visual, print and voice media networks. Basic website design and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) prevailed, however, with the advent of Social Media, Google Ads and other online forums, marketing strategy has become far more sophisticated. Individuals no longer find it easy to manage marketing campaigns and a business at the same time.

Today’s environment calls for a well thought out marketing strategy that can adapt to changing algorithms and the power of Google, Facebook and Instagram. It also calls for the engagement of others that can manage the creation and implementation of your marketing strategy. Spending large amounts on a campaign is no guarantee of success.
